|Description||Our Groove and Move performance team are made up of people aged from 50 to 74 years of age. ?We are from the Woden Valley Gymnastics Club in Canberra, Australia. None of our members had ?participated in Gymnastics until 2 to 3 years ago and some just in the last 12months. Our ?performance ?When I Grow Up? was inspired by the theme song from the Musical Matilda, written ?and scored by Tim Minchin. The performance is about our journey in life from birth, through ?childhood playing in the playground with friends, being teenagers and taking risks, falling in love ?and then breaking through the boundaries placed on us by societies lowered expectations based on ?our age. On the back of each of our shirts is an inspirational life quote that was chosen by each of ?us. On the front of our shirts is the tree of life, made from human bodies intertwined and ?supportive of each other. This tree symbolises the way in which we have supported each other ?through our gymnastics journey, enabling us to be here in Norway at the International Gym For Life ?Challenge. ?|
