Competition format

Individual and Group Competition with:

            - Qualification and Team Ranking

            - Group All-Around Ranking

            - Apparatus Finals

 

Maximum size of delegation

            - All national federations are entitled to participate with:

            - One to four individual gymnasts

            - One group of five or six gymnasts

 

Age requirements

All participating gymnasts must be 13 - 15 years old in the year of the event (i.e. born 2004 – 2006).

 

Individuals

Each federation has the right to choose the number of exercises to be performed by its registered gymnast(s) for a maximum of four routines per federation, i.e one routine per apparatus.

 

Groups

Each group shall present one exercise with 5 Hoops and one exercise with 5 Ribbons.

 

Ranking

·         The Team ranking is established by adding the four scores of the Individual Qualification and the two scores of the Group Qualification.

·         Individual Apparatus Finals with Rope, Ball, Clubs and Ribbon.

·         The Group All-around ranking is established by adding the two results from qualifications.

·         Group Apparatus Finals with 5 Hoops and 5 Ribbons.

 

TIE BREAKING RULES

In case of ties in the Individual Qualifications and Apparatus Finals and the Group General Competition and Apparatus Finals, the tie-breaking rules as defined in the FIG Technical Regulations 2019 for Senior World Championships, section 3, Art. 5.2, will apply as follows:

 

Individuals

Qualification for Apparatus Finals

In case of a tie in points at any place on any apparatus for qualification for Apparatus Finals, the ranking will be determined by the following criteria:

1.    The gymnast with the highest E-score prevails.

2.    The gymnast with the lowest ET (execution technical) deductions prevails.

3.    The gymnast with the highest D-score prevails.

If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.

 

Apparatus Finals

In case of a tie in points at any place on any apparatus in Apparatus Finals, the ranking will be determined by the following criteria:

1.    The gymnast with the highest E-score prevails.

2.    The gymnast with the lowest ET (execution technical) deductions prevails.

3.    The gymnast with the highest D-score prevails.

If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.

 

Groups

General competition

In case of a tie at any place at the General Competition the following criteria apply:

1.    The group with the highest E-score (2 exercises) prevails.

2.    The group with the lowest ET (execution technical) deductions (2 exercises) prevails.

3.    The group with the highest D-score (2 exercises) prevails.

If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.

 

Qualification for Apparatus Finals

In case of a tie at any place to qualify for the respective final the following criteria apply:

1.    The group with the highest E-score prevails.

2.    The group with the lowest ET (execution technical) deduction prevails.

3.    The group with the highest D-score prevails.

If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.

 

Apparatus Finals

In case of a tie at any place in the respective final (final for the exercise using 5 Hoops and final for the exercise using 5 Ribbons) the following criteria apply:

1.    The group with the highest E-score prevails.

2.    The group with the lowest ET (execution technical) deduction prevails.

3.    The group with the highest D-score prevails.

If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.

 

Team Ranking

The following tie-breaking rules, approved by the FIG Executive Committee, will apply to the new Team Ranking including individual and group scores:

In case of a tie at any place, the following criteria apply:

1.    The national federation with the highest total of E-scores (6 exercises: 4 RGI and 2 RGG) prevails.

2.    The national federation with the lowest total of ET (execution technical) deductions (6 exercises: 4 RGI and 2 RGG) prevails.

3.    The national federation with the highest total of D-score (6 exercises: 4 RGI and 2 RGG) prevails.

If there is still a tie, the tie will not be broken.
